Axis 8 brings together the needs - expectations of the local people. It describes what locals need and would like to have in relation to their place. It is essentially about the need to continue to feel safe within it and that there is continuity through time, regardless of changes that occur. It includes a sense of identity, a sense of cohesion and the preservation of tradition.
