It is said that the Eleusinian Mysteries took place at the same time that the birds were beginning their autumn migration journey. Today in Eleusis, migratory birds are affected by excessive, or inappropriate, artificial lighting at night (ALAN, Artificial Light at Night). The small winged migrants are sacrificed in an attempt to claim their allotted space.

This artwork has a visual reference to the heartbeat captured by the researches in a spectrum of grey tones. Inspired by the debate on who prevails between natives and foreigners (P10), the work illuminates the need for new definitions. Who is considered native and what is foreign in the harmony of nature?
