A teacher observes similar deficiencies in higher education, noting connections between the lack of facilities and safety systems on one hand and the low levels of learning among the students on the other. Her voice "breaks" and reveals concern for the new generation and anger toward the Ministry of Education, which is primarily responsible for this situation.

F. 1: What about you?
P. 3: The first and most important issue is the technical infrastructure of the school units. I agree with my colleague. Both in schools and kindergartens the situation is more or less the same. I don't know if this comment is relevant, but the situation has nothing to do with what is being claimed by the authorities. I'll also agree with the previous speaker. The Ministry of Education, which is the responsible body, should ensure the necessary resources for the proper functioning, and then we educators can consider how to address the assessment issue. So, I move on to the second issue, which is a consequence of the first, and it has to do with the student's learning level. It is extremely low and constantly decreasing. In this, you must take for granted the parallel outside-of-school miseducation of children, right? Well, the level is despairingly low, it's terrifying what's coming. The children are literally illiterate. I am in secondary education, specifically in high school, and students from middle school come who cannot even comprehend a simple text. Similarly, they cannot write a text that contains simple things. I will consider the Ministry of Education completely responsible for this, despite any propaganda and whatever is going on. It's their responsibility, their educational system by which students are taught, their curricula, and their decisions regarding textbooks – which are extremely old, from thirty and more years ago. It's their primary and essential responsibility. Period.
